Setelah serbuan dual core LG Optimus 2X , Samsung Galaxy S2 ada pendatang baru smartphone Android dengan prosesor dual core yang baru saja resmi diumumkan yaitu HTCSensation 4G yang sebelumnya sering disebut HTC Pyramid. Oleh karena smartphone dalam dunia Android sama-sama menggunakan OS yang tentu hampir sama di mana perbedaan seringkali hanya add on atau user interface yang dipermak oleh masing-masing vendor maka produsen seringkali berlomba menawarkan spesifikasi hardware dan desain yang lebih menarik.
Kali in HTC tidak mau kalah dengan menawarkan spesifikasi layar 4.3 inci dengan resolusi 960x560px jenis layar SUPER LCD, prosessor Dual core 1.2Ghz SnapDragon, memori 786 MB RAM, 1GB ROM, microSD card slot, serta OS Android 2.3 terbaru dengan Sense 3.0 yang masih baru juga. Kamera smartphone HTC Sensation ini memiliki sensor sampai 8mpx dengan dual LED Flash di bagian belakang dan mampu merekam full hd video dengan kecepatan 30fps. Sedangkan kamera depan utk video call hanya beresolusi VGA. Smartphone ini juga mendukung Adobe Flash sehingga kita bisa menonton youtube dalam format flash maupun main game-game flash yang berlimpah di internet.
HTC Sensation juga mendukung jaringan HSPA+ yang menawarkan kecepatan download sampai 14.4 Mbps. Layar HTC Sensation juga menggunakan Gorilla Glass supaya tahan goresan. Untuk konektivitas, HTC Sensation mendukung quadband GSm, Wifi, Bluetooth 3,0 dan ada socket 3.5 mm utk headphone serta ada microUSB Port dengan MHL Support untuk HTMI output. Ada juga GPS/AGPS, gysro, G-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor dan sensor ambien light.
Dan HTC juga meluncurkan HTC Watch video service yang bisa diakses dari smartphone ini.
